Fear Grips Imo First Family, Lease Outfits To New Operators
Strong indications that fear had crept into the minds of the Rochas Okorocha family member over loss of power have emerged as the programs for handover date to governor-elect, begins.
Trumpeta has noticed that since the outcome of the governorship election was not in the favour of Okorocha’s adopted candidate, Uche Nwosu, business outfits, especially those of the hospitality industry are at the verge of being leased to new operators.
Our reporter noticed that an outfit owned by the sister to the governor on Mbari Street, Ikenegbu known asTweeter Bites has been renamed while others are likely to get new nomenclature before the exit on May 29, 2019.
It was learnt that apart from lack of patronage on the part of the masses who have withdrawn from commercial deals with the outlets, there is fear that a massive revolt may consume their property in town when they leave office, hence the change of ownership and operators.
When Trumpeta visited theTweeter Bites, a popular food joint owned by a relation of the governor, the name had changed.
Further information has it that before May 29, 2019 more outfits belonging to the family will change ownership and name.
