All conquering Golden Eagles will next month face the Mali under 17 National team for a place in the 2013 African Junior championship in Morocco.
The first leg will be played in the weekend of November 17-18 while the return match is fixed for the weekend of December 1-2.
The Eagles eliminated Guinea 7-0 on aggregate after they trounced their hosts 4-0 on Sunday, while Mali on their side turned the table on Mauritania by beating them 5-1 at home after losing the first game 2-1.
The African Junior Championship will be staged in Morocco from April 13 and Nigeria has missed out on the last two tournaments.
Eagles performance on Sunday was an improvement on their 3-0 win at home in Calabar fortnight ago as they dominated their hosts from start to finish.
The Nigerian Youngstars achieved the rout in Conakry with three first half goals by Isaac Success, Alhassan Ibrahim and Kelechi Iheanacho, while substitute Musa Yahaya added the fourth goal on the stroke of regulation time.
Nigeria has won the FIFA under 17 world cup three times in 1985, ’93 and 2007.
The coach of the team, Manu Garba expressed that his team were about the only team that anybody that watches them would agree that they are very good, so I was not surprised about their excellent performance.
