NLO Stripes Heartland Feeders 3 Points over Administrative Incompetence

The dwindling fortunes bedeviling former CAF Champions League finalist, Heartland FC has trickled down to the clubs junior team.

This is following reports that Heartland Comets (Naze Millionaires junior side) have been stripped off the points it garnered against fellow Nation Wide League 1 side, Jaguar FC over what the NLO organizers termed administrative incompetence.

According to a letter sent the former FA cup champions and signed by the NLO Chief Operating Officer, Olushola Ogunnowo, league’s organizing body said after they received the officials match reports and copies of the players license which the Match Commissioner confiscated but was forced to release to them due to pressure and threat from Heartland Feeders FC officials during their game against Jaguar FC of Imo state, that they made following findings;

“From the response given by Heartland Feeders FC after NLO issued a query indicates how its difficult for them to proof the registration of their 9 players petitioned against.

“The NLO can categorically confirm that the players in question are not duly registered for the 2022 season.

” Heartland Feeders FC has been part of NLO for over 7 seasons and the players registration has not changed and that their officials should stop beating about the bush and own up that they goofed by not properly registering their players.

The NLO body further stated that sequel to the findings that Heartland Feeders FC has violated the rules and regulations of the league and therefore will be punished.

“Based on relevant article of the rules, the above match which ended 2-1 in favour of Heartland Feeders FC shall be awarded to Jaguar FC with 3 points (Article 3:01(7).

“Heartland Feeders FC officials are hereby warned to desist from acts that can bring the game to disrepute,” parts of the letter dated April 1, 2022 read.

Although the club has not commented on the point deduction but a grape vine source revealed to Trumpeta sports desk that some top management members of the club are culpable for the huge error and embarrassment which has coat them hard earned 3 points.
