PDP Sacks Chikwem Onuoha .Over Anti-Party Activities

The Osu Owerre Ward II in Isiala Mbano LGA has sacked from its fold Chief Chikwem Onuoha, former Deputy Chief of Staff to Dr Ikedi Ohakim.

In a letter to the Imo PDP Chairman and signed by Isiala Mbano LGA Party Chairman, Chief Azubuike Ekwegh and Secretary, Hon Cele Njoku, they stated that it has become explicitly necessary to expel Chikwem for several reasons, including his hobnobbing and hosting of APGA chieftains in his Umuaro residence where he (Chikwem) has made remarks and utterances targeted at bringing the PDP to ridicule and disrepute.

Part of the letter reads “whereas on 21^st January, 2013, he actively participated in the resolution of the leadership crisis of APGA, Isiala Mbano Chapter at Imo Government House, presided over by His Excellency, Gov Rochas Okorocha during which he equally boasted of the strength of APGA in the Local Government Area.

“Whereas he lacks the courage to officially inform his ward/leadership in Isiala Mbano prior to his defection to APGA”. The PDP in the area also fumed at the absence of Hon Onuoha from PDP meetings and gatherings, and has blatantly refused to attend the disciplinary committee invitation, thus which lays credence to the said anti-party activities and other related offences.

Based on the foregoing, the PDP noted that “in accordance with the provision of article 21 of PDP constitution as amended. He is hereby officially expelled from PDP.
