What would have been a replica of the Aluu 4 was re-averted by some good Nigerians as a young man whose name was not revealed to our reporter at the scene of this incident escaped instant justice by lynching last Sunday at bank road in Owerri.
According to an eye witness, two young men who picked a phone from a man on his Siena car while buying fuel at Total Filling Station along Bank Road successfully took off with the phone only to be pursued in a hot chase by the owner and some Keke riders who helped in apprehending one of the thieves at Douglas Road opposite Nitel while trying to escape the angry mob.
When the phone was recovered from the young man, he was brought back to Bank Road where he was almost beaten to death, but was saved by many including our reporter who begged that he be set free in the spirit of the Sunday and was given a second chance to Go home and steal no more.
Hmmmm this guy must do a thanksgiving.
