The Head of Department of Public Law in Imo State University, Dr Reginald Onuoha has advised the governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha to apply wisdom while handling the issue of abortion law.
Dr Onuoha stated this while speaking to Trumpeta last week on the controversial abortion law in the state.
He noted that in as much as the governor has the executive powers to govern the state, he should be mindful of bad advisers, whose stock in trade is to lead him into trouble.
He pointed out that what is happening in the state, could be attributed to the failure of those in power to acknowledge that God should be placed first in all things in life.
The University don cautioned those critising the governor on the abortion law to remove the log in their eyes before looking for whom to correct.
On the protest by catholic priests on the issue, Dr Onuoha blasted them for failing to live up to expectation, alleging that recent reports indicate that many catholic priests are running different baby factories in the country.
He further lambasted the priests for their double standard brand of Christianity, stressing that a good number of them keep women, while advising them to start getting married in order to stop the embarrassment they have brought to followers of Christ.
On the ASUU strike, he described it as unfortunate the refusal of the federal government to honour the agreement it entered into with ASUU, adding that the strike would continue as long as the federal Government fails to fulfill its own side of the bargain with the academic body.
