Members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Imo State chapter have been charged to uphold the ethics and professionalism of the Institute.
This charge was made by the Chairman of the institute Mr Charles Nwankwo during the monthly meeting of the institute held at the image house, NIPR secretariat.
In his remark, the Chairman noted that his administration will consolidate on the achievements of the previous administration while also trying to execute new projects. He noted that his administration has decided to put in place quarterly lecture for members of the Institution to enhance their horizon and urged members to utilize the opportunity effectively as according to him knowledgeable resource persons will be drawn from both the academia and co-orporate bodies.
Mr Nwankwo also reminded members of the institute of plans to rename the secretariat after a former chairman of the institute, Mr Chuks Osuji. He also appealed to members to make free will donation to enable the institute procure protectors for the secretariat.
Members of the institute congratulated the Charles Nwankwo led executives on their victory, in the just concluded elections of the institute.
He went ahead to inform members that the fee for the national conference and the Annual General meeting of the institute is 40,000, 45,000 fore members and non members respectively.
Speaking earlier, a fellow of the institute, Prince Akor Njemanze urged member to support the administration of Charles Nwankwo and ensure that the Public Relations practice is taken a greater height.
