Despite political pressure on the numerous candidates aspiring to become the number one citizen of Imo State come 2015, an Ogbe, Ahiazu Mbaise born politician and America based primary healthcare physician, Dr Obioma Sylvester Agomuoh has assured Imolites that he has no reason to step down for any candidate in 2015 Imo state gubernatorial election.
Speaking with newsmen recently at his country home in Amorji/Ogbe, Ahiazu Mbaise, Dr Agomuoh averred that he has the pedigree and pragmatic qualities that would address leadership problems if elected the Governor of Imo State. “I won’t step down for any candidate. I am intact in the race till I become the next Governor of Imo state. I have set up mercenaries in motion in the 27 Local government areas of the state to ensure that my dreams come to reality. My team is working vigorously to ensure that my aspiration of becoming the next governor of Imo state is actualized”, he maintained.
The frontline governorship aspirant under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform disclosed that he has set up a formidable political structure in the state and as well as consulting political leaders within Imo state for hitch free race.
Fielding questions from Journalists on reasons why many candidates from Diaspora are aspiring to rule Imo state in 2015, Dr Agomuoh posited that it is a high time some of them who had indeed understood the political system and good governance in diaspora should come back home to inject fresh blood into the political system.
“What we are seeing here, is far fetched from governance in diaspora. That’s why we are working hard to ensure that we take leadership mantle of Imo state in order to bring to people standard of living by creating jobs opportunities”, he concluded.
Confirming, the Primary Health Physician noted that people are maginalised and denied them their basic rights by their political representatives adding that lack of job opportunity remains the focal factor that promotes social vices in our society.
Dr Obioma Agomuoh as a Healthcare specialist asserted that he would boost Imo State Health sector by building ultra-modern hospitals with gigantic facilities where doctors from advanced countries will be working for provision of essential health services if elected the governor adding that power outage will be a thing of past.
