Police Gun Down Notorious Cult Leader, Named Kaka, In Battle.Two Suspects Arrested

It was a sorrowful outing to the suspected cultists numbering about 15 members belonging to NEO Black Movement a.k.a. Black Axe on Sunday June 28, at Egbu community in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State, as operatives of the state police command gunned down the leader of the cultists, one Chimaobi Iheme popularly called Saka, arrested two suspected cultists while others escaped.
According to the statement made available to newsmen by the state police command, “The arrest was sequel to an information received that cult members numbering about fifteen (15) were terrorising members of Egbu community near Egbu Girls’ Secondary School. Operatives of the command immediately swung into action, but met stiff opposition as the cultists engaged the police team in an exchange of gunfire where two of the cult members received gunshot wounds and were arrested; others escaped while their leader gave up the ghost when receiving medical treatment.”
Two suspected cultists at the scene are: Opara Chinwekene (M) 25 years of age and Amarikwa Tochukwu Franklyn (M) 24 years of age both of Mpama Village in Egbu community of Owerri North LGA of Imo State. While items recovered from them include: three locally made pistols, seven live cartridges, four expanded cartridges, two cutlasses, one hand cult axe, sex cell phones, one tricycle (keke) and one motorcycle.
