Moves to ensure regular payment of workers’ salaries in Imo have begun.
Briefing journalists in Owerri after a meeting between Governor Rochas Okorocha and top Government officials comprising permanent secretaries at the Government House Thursday, the Head of the service Mr Calistus Ekenze hinted that tough measures have been taken by Government as all financial loop holes have been blocked to maintain sanity in the state. He also revealed that Imo government will now compare its salary structure with other states of the federation in order to correct the difference.
He further disclosed that corrupt Civil Servants and Government official will be prosecuted from now on, adding that all the grey areas of revenue in the state will be exploited by the state government.
The Head of service said that Governor Okorocha’s visit to Singapore has opened discussion with investors who will be visiting Imo State any moment from now to develop the state.
