The management of the Nigerian Premier League has announced that match day 38 will be played on Friday, 7th September to bring the 2011/12 season to a close.

Head of competitions, Anwalu Jada further said all outstanding games will hold this Thursday August 23rd.

The matches include ties involving Warri Wolves and Rising Stars, ABS FC and Sunshine Stars as well as Sharks and Ocean Boys, even after Ocean Boys had declared they were pulling out of the league.

The Brass team saw true to their treat when they failed to turn up for their week 37th match against Rising Stars in Yenagoa last Wednesday.

Kanopillars are currently on top of the league chart with 64 points closely followed by Lobi Stars on 63 points and Rangers on 61 points.

Rangers do have a comfortable game at home to visiting sharks inEnugu, pillars will head to Ijebu – Ode to confront Sunshine Stars, a team they denied the league trophy last season on the last day inKano.

Lobi Stars however travel toKadunato face Kaduna United in the last game.

Meanwhile, the relegation heat and survival will be fiercely fought among Rising Stars, Niger Tornadoes, ABS FC, Kwara United and Jigawa Golden stars as Ocean Boys are off the rader.

It is now left to be decided the teams that will now join Ocean Boys who are already relegated down to the national league next season.
