A top politician in the state, Hon. Alfred Obi has stated in clear terms that the 2011 election brought to an end the colossal wastage of the state economy on champagne and partying which the few in the political class enjoyed as their right.

Dr Alfred while speaking with newsmen in Owerri said that, before now the only two major roads in capital city was the Douglas and Wetheral road, adding that even parents had to pay through their nose for their children to go to school, no functional hospitals, people live in fear of robbers and kidnappers in the state. He asserted that, the dawn of 2011 ushered in a man who have a heart of gold, an epitome of human kindness who always worry about the next generation, the grandmaster of free education, which is the Executive Governor of Imo state, Gov. Anayo Rochas Okorocha, OON,SAM.

The National President Owerri Senatorial Youth Movement and also the founder of Mbaise My Pride, Hon. Dr Obi  said the Government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha gave pure hope to the hopeless, joy to sorrowful hearts in Imo state, adding that, his wife, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha ( Dr) is not left out in this work of extending dividends of democracy to Imolites even as she earned her self the name “Oji ulo eme ogo”, by building houses in  almost every local government, fully furnished for Indigent widows and widowers.

According to Dr. Alfred Obi popularly called “Abuja said”, the achievements of the present government are too numerous to mention, even as he praised the governor in his giant strides of setting up the Rochas Foundation College of Africa, where children from other African Countries can benefit from his free education policy. He however, pledged loyalty to the government of Okorocha and his successor, adding that, the governor will not make mistakes in his endorsements even as he would want someone who will continue with his good plans of transforming Imo State to the London of African.
