What looked like a Hollywood Cannibal movie took place live at Okwu- Uratta in Owerri North Local Government Area when a middle aged woman, (names withheld), a teacher with Assumpta Nursery/Primary School, Owerri allegedly bite off a finger of Mrs Irene Nwaganga, a Civil Servant attached to one of the Ministries in Imo State.

This has caused a stir in Okwu Uratta, as residents in the area wonder in shock and awe the cannibalistic tendencies exhibited by some human beings.

Imo Trumpeta learnt that trouble started when when the teacher

manhandled the daughter of Mrs. Nwanganga by beating her silly. This infuriated the mother of the child who on learning of the beating went to her neighbour to inquire why she had to beat up her daughter.

The ensuing melee between both women, lead to a scuffle, as they went beyond mere exchange of words and resorted to a free for all fight. Before neighbours could intervene to quell the fight and seek a peaceful resolution of the conflict, the accused allegedly bite off her adversary’s finger.

This caused a stir leaving Mrs Nwanganga in pains before she was rushed to Federal Medical Centre, Owerri for treatment. It was gathered that till date, the finger has been missing as doctors at FMC were said to have been frustrated with the unavailability of the finger to carry out a medical surgery to restore her finger.

Speaking to Imo Trumpeta on the matter, husband of the victim, Mr. sunny Nwanganga, said till date, the finger of his wife is still missing, thus raising fears that either the finger was taken away for nocturnal purposes or completely eaten up by the accused.

When This Newspaper visited Okwu Uratta for further investigations, the accused, Mrs Oguh could not be located to give her side of the story, but a source said what took place was an act of two fighting whose consequences could lead to injury on the two fighters.

It was further learnt that the victim’s husband reported the matter to Owerri North Police Station at Toronto, but may seek for thorough investigation by reporting the matter to the Imo State Police Command, Owerri.
