In a season that the Naze millionaires did the back – to – back in the Federation Cup competition and also recorded the highest number of away draw games, 8 in the Nigerian Premier League games, the players still missed out from the MTN – NPL all star team.

According to the list complied and released by the MTN football.com, the All – star team is set in a 4 – 3 – 3 formation and to be handled byKanopillars championship – winning coach, Mohammed Baba Ganaru.

The following are the first eleven players and the reserve team.

Goalkeeper, Chigozie Agbim (Warri Wolves).

He was outstanding for his team even as they finished out of the first four and is the Super Eagles home – based Captain.

Defenders;

Namso Edo (Akwa United)

The Akwa United Captain was superb in his right back position exhibiting great techniques especially joins the attack as he netted 5 goals.

Mutui Adegoke (3SC)

A veteran left back who is unarguably the best in NPL who brought his experience to bear in 3SC lifting them from the drop zone to safety. He also posses the specialty in converting spot kicks as he got 7 goals in this season Azubuike Egwuekwe (Warri Wolves) and Godfrey Oboabona (Sunshine Stars).

Both Central defenders continued the good work from last season and transformed into a good pair in the home based Eagles. Surely the future hope of our national team.

Midfilders; Ejike Uzoenyi (Enugu Rangers), Philip Asuquo (3SC) and Reuben Gabriel (Kano Pillars)

This trio actually merited their positions for the job they have done for their clubs this season especially Uzoenyi and Reuben who both have been outstanding for their clubs and National team.

Strikers; Gambo Mohammed (Kano Pillars), Abdulrahman Bashr (ABS) and Sibi Gwar (Niger Tornadoes) Except from Gwar’s team’s relegation, this trio also were like revelations in the just ended NPL season.
