Ihedioha’s Mandate Liberated Imo From Clutches of Bad Governance  -Akunakwe

The Chairman Interim Management Committee Oru East Local Government Area, Comrade Kennet Akunakwe has  commended Imolites for given Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, Imo Governor their mandate ,saying his victory and policies have liberated the state particularly Oru women from the shackles of bad governance.

The Council boss who made this commendation recently while addressing the mammoth crowd who graced the 2019 Imo Women August Meeting at the Oru East Council Headquarters applauded the exemplary leadership role of Lady Ebere Ihedioha,the wife of Imo State Governor.

He said,” the governor’s wife’s visit to my council has richly impacted on many lives. Indeed God has blessed the state with a great woman .Today a woman of prayer visited my council and our women are so happy and glad to receive her.”

Akunakwe seized the platform to commend the Wife of Imo Deputy Governor, Lady Vivian Irona and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oru East for their support towards the success of the 2019 Imo Women August Meeting.

He disclosed that Governor Ihedioha’s wife, through her programmes and leadership style, has brought peace to many families and assisted in reshaping the behavioural pattern of women of the state.

He called on Imo women to continue to show solidarity to the rebuild Imo administration of Ihedioha, so as to feel more impact of true dividends of democracy in Imo state.

Address Oru East women, the Imo State First Lady, Lady Ihedioha enjoined the women in the state to use the opportunity of this year’s August Meeting to reach out to the needy, saying her passion is to empower and improve the standard of living of many women as possible.

Mrs. Ihedioha who said her door is open to all Imo women who earnestly need help spoke on Wednesday during the 2019 August Meeting at Oru West Local Government Area.

She noted that the annual event themed” Empowering Women In The Rebuild Imo Project” described the event as a veritable platform for uniting women at all levels and offering assistance to the less-privileged in the society, especially those in the rural communities.

The soft spoken First Lady who assured all that Imo government will be devoid of segregation described her husband as a transparent man saying when you empower a woman, you have empowered the nation.

In her address Mrs Queen Ezenwanyi Wife of the Interim Management Committee Chairman said to them in Our West, its is not just a the regular August Meeting but occasion for survival testimonies and rekindling of the hope that was dimmed through 8years of rudderless leadership of the government of Iberiberism.
