Convenant Varsity Student Suspended For Watching Music Video

Reports say that a Convenant University, Ogun State student was recently suspended after he was caught watching the music video teaser for Jarmeu’s ‘Booty Bash’.

The student (identity withheld), was caught watching the nearly x-rated music video of Jarmeu, who is one of Nigeria’s fast rising artistes. The school, which is owned by Nigeria’s billionaire’s pastor, David Oyedepo’s Winners Chapel Church, as gathered, does not allow the use of mobile phones by its students.

So, when the student’s phone was seized, it was discovered that he was watching a music video that had the flaunting of ‘booties’, which belonged to Jarmeu. The student was then punished for ‘indecent conduct’ and got suspended from the school by the school authorities

OKOROCHA DECLARES 2 WEEKS HOLIDAY AND N10,000 FOR IMO WORKERS

Governor Rochas Okorocha has declared 2 weeks work free day starting from 21st December 2012 till January 7, 2013. Addressing Imo workers at the city school, Owerri, Governor Okorocha used the opportunity to review his achievements with particular attention to free education to Imo indegines from Primary school to tertiary level, construction of 305 Primary schools in all INEC wards in the state. Others are Imo College of Advanced Professional Studies (ICAPS), construction of General Hospitals in all the 27 L.G.As, construction of one thousand kilometer roads in the 27 LGAs, construction of 18 floors Monumental building and thousand units of buildings in New Owerri.

Governor Okorocha decried the attitude of contractors who collect money and thereafter abandon the project, stressing that from January 2013, that his administration will deal ruthlessly with any contractor who fails to execute his job for which he has collected money. Furthermore, the governor said he will make public the names of all the contractors who fail to carryout their contract project.

Upon some pending projects, the governor said that by 2013, his administration will embark on the construction of industries to reduce unemployment in the state, as well as complete the land mark projects which includes multi-purpose shopping mall with a cinema hall, princess hotel Okigwe, Prince Hotel Orlu, Akachi Tower, and Ecumenical center. He stated that Owerri will be zoned into nine zones for effective waste management disposal, as first class equipment will be procured to ensure sanity of the city.

Gorvernor Okorocha assured Imo workers that his administration will continue to ensure regular payment of his monthly salary as government has deposited workers three months salary from December 2012 to February 2013. On the same vein, he announced ten thousand naira to each Imo worker for their Christmas celebrations. On the issue of security, governor Rochas Okorocha assured Imolites of adequate security during the yuletide.

Lastly, His Execellency urged Imolites to appreciate his efforts by showing understanding and have a change of attitude to spur to greater performance of his administration.
