The African Action Congress, AAC, gubernatorial candidate for Imo State and Ihitte/Uboma LGA born legal luminary and constitution lawyer, Barr Ifeanyi Awulonu has enjoined and counselled Youths in the state and elsewhere to join partisan politics and participate actively in governance.
This he explained, is the best way to become entrenched in the formulation, execution and implementation of all those policies ,projects or programs that affect their welfare and existence, directly.
Doing this much in the words of Barr Awulonu will enable them derive desired benefits, including youth empowerment, development and political emancipation, moreso as agents of change and instrument of power acquisitions. Awulonu added that with Youths constituting more than seventy percent of the voting and able bodied population, also as the power house of the nation should therefore take their destiny into their own hands in determining the direction our leaders go instead of following sheepishly or blindly as ohh yes members, only good at thuggery, ballot box snatchers, perpetrators or purveyors of violence and all forms of criminalities when they should be wealth creators and decision makers at various levels of government.
Addressing a select group of youths in his Owerri Campaign office, yesterday, Barr.Awulonu observed that the only way to come out of the bad leadership often foisted on us as orchestrated by the demagogue is for the Youths to be proactive in politics and governance.
He regretted that this viable, and vibrant category of our human resources has been relegated to the background and neglected or ignored in the schemes of things for too long. For democracy to thrive and deepen in our nation especially under the present set of leaders at both State and national levels, the youths must rise to the occasion and call the bluff of corrupt and indolent leaders, he declared.
While urging the Imo electorate to embrace his manifesto which has been carefully designed to move Imo forward and progressively in order for all segments of the society to benefit maximally and enjoy the elusive sense of belonging, from democracy, AWULONU called for support as the next governor of Imo State..Imolites he assured , will enjoy better life and prosperity in the event he is saddled with the responsibility of managing the abundant human and material resources available in the state and requiring a competent, compassionate, charismatic and credible manager , which he exemplifies and epitomizes come November 11 2023..Barr Awulonu asserted that the only way, Imo Youths can be respected in the society is by avoiding criminal tendencies and lead decent lives especially as party officials and political office holders. He finally decried the inability of the Youths to utilize their usefulness energy, skills and available technology to change the face of politics and governance, until the recent attempt though belated now that the damages are irredeemable except with a forthright gladiator like himself.
