IMO DEP GOV KICKS AGAINST DUMPING OF REFUSE AT UNATHORIZED PLACES -

The Imo State Government has assured the provision infrastructural amenities and friendly environment to the people of the state. The Imo State Deputy Governor Sir Jude Agbaso stated this while monitoring the carting away of refuse at New Market Motor Park Owerri. Sir Agbaso said that it was disheartening on how people at the market and it’s environs have used the market as a dumping ground for refuse.

Sir Jude Agbaso explained that the selling of food items around the refuse dump pose serious health hazard to the people of the state and urged the market union not to allow dumping of refuse at the market.

The Deputy Governor used the occasion to call on all citizens of the state to continue to support government’s effort in the provision of bridges, roads, market and other basic infrastructure amenities in the state. He also made it clear that government would not succumb to blackmail but rather would use government’s money prudently to better the lives of the citizens. He further, urged the people to expose criminals in their midst so as to have a crime-freer society.
