Imo State PDP Women activists have risen to pass a vote of confidence on the state women Leader, Lady Nkechi Mbonu. Commending the erudite and dynamic women leader, the leader of Oguta LGA legislative council, Hon Ezinne Ochieuka noted that she has exhibited transparency, team spirit and sterling leadership qualities which have improved the fortunes of women and PDP in Imo State. Hon Ezinne stressed that unlike the immediate past women leader who was very unreliable, slippery and unstable with no vibrant political value; Lady Mbonu has been a solid rallying point for all women of PDP in Imo State. She is consistent; she is reliable, humble and consults her fellow women and leaders before taking decision which is a mark of a true leader. The PDP women activists pledged their support and solidarity with Lady Nkechi Mbonu in all her programmes and advise her to remain steadfast and committed. The PDP women activist recalled that Lady Mbonu has facilitated the procurement of vehicles for Imo women. They also noted that PDP women in Imo has fared better under her leadership as she champions women interests as a mother. On the governance in Imo, the women activitists frowned at what they called government of deceit. They also wondered why some members of Imo House of Assembly would pass a vote of confidence on the embattled Speaker in absentia. The women regretted that the House of Assembly has not been carrying out their oversight functions with integrity. They called the lawmakers to turn a new leaf for the interest of good governance.
The women activist also uses their forum to congratulate the Oguta leader of Council, Hon Ezinne Ochieuka on her birthday. They prayed that God should continue to protect and guide the distinguished leader. The PDP Women activists and friends of Hon Ezinne Ochieuka will be hosted to a valentine party at Hon Ochieuka’s Owerri residence today being her birthday.
