In a desperate attempt to continue to prove that the are innocent over the alleged N458m  – allegedly given to the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Sir Jude Agbaso, by a contractor in the state, the Agbaso family of Emekuku, Owerri North has sued Joseph Dina of Jpros International Ltd.

It would be recalled that Joseph Dina had during the Imo State House of Assembly probe committee sitting accused the sacked Agbaso of collecting the sum of N458m from him for the purpose of getting more road project contracts in the state. The said N458m was part of the total sum of N1.5bn contract awarded to Dina by the state government for construction of Warehouse-Nworie road. Dina further claimed that the N458 allegedly given to the former Deputy Governor led to abandonment of the road project.

Consequently, the state Assembly without proper verifications and based on biased investigations believed Dina’s account as Agbaso was pronounced guilty. The ensuing developments led to the controversial removal of the Deputy Governor by the state lawmakers.

Undaunted in the quest to prove that no money exchange hands between him and Dina, the Agbaso’s has gone to court to seek charges against Dina for defamation of character.
