As the body of the late former Imo State Commissioner for Petroleum and Environment, Dr Aloysius Aguwa is late to rest today at Ezuhu Nguru, Mbaise in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, there are certain unique qualities the world class environmentalist possessed which the public especially those who know him during his life time are not aware.

Late Aguwa who began his educational carrier at his home town before proceeding to Mbaise Boys Secondary School, Aboh for post primary education was an embodiment of talent which was only showcased to few persons who related closely to him.

Even as the late Aguwa has never gone for a dancing competition or made public his swaging shoes, the American-trained expert is in love with the Abigbo music, the age long traditional and cultural music of Mbaise clan. A personal aide to Aguwa revealed that the former commissioner is in love with Abigbo. “If you went to get him in a good mood, provide the Abigbo music. He likes the music to the extent he can forgive you for any offence when he hears the sound of Abigbo. He does not joke with it. My Oga can forget a discussion with you when Abigbo music is on”

Same likeness goes to Makossa music. It was learnt that Aguwa was a Makkosa freak and will not hesitate to join the fray in showcasing his dancing steps that are similar to the francophone countries. The Makossa desire for Aguwa started during his days in Cameroon, where he spent a reasonable percent of his time. The former member of the Imo State Executive Council will not only enjoy the tunes but also danced the music to anybody’s delight.

The romantic aspect of late Aguwa is interesting.  He did not only hounour the wife but valued her which warranted the Nwanyichineke pet name. “The former commissioner will not fail to remind anybody around him during his life time that the wife is a jewel of inestimable value adding that she was a gift from God” In the same vein, what Aguwa detest most is allowing a woman other than his wife to tell him “I love you” No matter what you are doing with my Oga, as a woman, the least he expects to hear from you is I love you. He will tell me, ‘If another woman says she loves me, what will my most cherished wife now tell me’?

Talking about Aguwa’s private life, it was revealed that meticulous gentleman was an easy going person who could manage any unfavourable situation. He was a superb being with different characters. A very humourous person who can cause laughter in the midst sorrow, late Aguwa will also not fail to tell associates that he did not believe in waiting for tomorrow. For him, procrastination does not exist.  “Anything you want to do tomorrow, do it today because “onyemaechi”, he will always say.
