Indians to run Ngor Okpala Rescue Specialist Hospital – LG boss

The Rescue specialist hospital in Ngor Okpala will be presently undergoing construction will be run by Indians.

This was disclosed to newsmen in Owerri, by Transition Committee Chairman of Ngor – Okpala LGA, Young – Toby Eke.  Eke said he hospital after completion will be patronized by foreigners, as it will the hospital will have state of the art equipments.

He revealed that 11 health centres are undergoing renovation under the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) joint projects.

Toby Eke, who gave a rundown of his achievements in office in 8 months, said soon, the Imo Palm Plantation will take off in the area.

He added “provided hectares of land for the Palm Plantation projects.

The TC Chairman admitted that Ngor Okpala can boast as the only Local Government Area that has renovated and constructed many roads in the State.

“As I speak to you, we have 85.5km of roads that is being renovated and constructed.  In Ngor – Okpala LG 24km is for asphaliting.  This is unprecedented considering that previous Administrations did award 8km in eight years” Toby – Young stated.

He stressed that his Council are doing all it can to ensure the effective take – off of the Community Government Council in Ngor – Okpala LGA.  “In Ngor – Okpala, we had no problems with the CGC initiative.  We sensitized the people a lot on the idea of Fourth Tier.  And it has been well received in Ngor – Okpala”.

The TC Chairman added that soon, an agricultural warehouse will be built in Ngor – Okpala Local Government Area to house agricultural products produced from other Local Governments in the State.

He revealed that soon, a 50 unit housing estate will be constructed to ease housing problem in the Sate.

According to him, the issue of insecurity in the LGA has been effectively addressed, as crimes such as kidnapping and armed robbery has reduced drastically in the LGA.
