Imo House not a Rubber Stamp – Hon Ndubuaku

The member representing Orlu state constituency in Imo state House of Assembly, Bar. Mike Ndubuaku has said that Imo state legislature is not mere rubber stamp who he spoke to journalists in his office at the House.   Hon. Ndubuaku, who is the Chairman of Education Committee in the House and he also spoke passionately on education in Imo state.  He revealed that their smooth cooperation with the executive is for the interest of Imolites and development of the State but regretted that some people have misconstrued it.  “Let me tell you that every lawmaker wants his people to be partakers on this positive revolution in the State? he stressed.

“In Orlu, we have rural roads under construction by this government.   Even if I am not from APGA I will gain from the programs of this government.  This government has made foundations of about 27 hospitals.  So, who is that legislature that will tell the government not to do such developmental project?  We are bound to support the government when they have laudable projects and people should not see it that we are mere rubber stamps” Hon. Ndubuaku revealed.

On education and free education of Governor Owelle Rochas that was alleged to have collapsed, Bar. Ndubuaku said that free education has succeeded in Imo state because nobody pays school fees, and the Governor is constructing 305 modern schools, free education has been extended to State tertiary institutions which indicates that it has not collapsed.

On Imo state Library Board face off with Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) on land ownership, Hon. Barr Ndubuaku said that Imo Library Board lease part of their land to NTA temporarily.

He said that the Library Board wants NTA to quit from their land because they want to develop the land and wondered why NTA will refuse even when they have gotten a permanent site.

He however, promised that they will take care of that whenever they are ready to execute that project and they might be relocated if the need arises.  Hon. Bar. Ndubuaku said that Gov. Owelle has economically managed Imo state and that God sent him to redeem Imo state from the shackles of darkness.
