Leader of Owerri Zone Political Leadership Forum (OZOPOLF), Prince Charls Amadi weekend acknowledged that Governor Rochas Okorocha has relatively done well in some areas of Governance even as he insists that a Governor from Owerri Zone would do much better.

Addressing a mammoth crowd from Mbaitoli at St Mary’s Catholic Church field Ubomiri, Prince Amadi explained that the purpose of the rally is to further draw the attention of the people of Mbaitoli to the pitiable position of Owerri Zone in Imo Governance.

He said that his Group OZOPOLF quest and demand for a Governor from Owerri zone extraction is to balance the several injustices and marginalization of Owere people in Governance.

Prince Amadi who assured that his group is focused towards the realization of the project maintained that OZOPOLF is not a political party but rather a pressure group made up of people of Owerri Zone with divergent political ideologies.

He called on the people irrespective of their political inclinations to join in the crusade of realizing an Imo State Governor from the Owerri Zone extraction in 2015. Pointing out that OZOPOLF interest is a Governor from Owerri Zone irrespective of party affiliations.

Meanwhile, a group of patriots from Orlu and part of Okigwe Zone known as (Isu Clan) has promised to partner with OZOPOLF in its quest for a Governor of Imo State from Owerri Zone extraction in 2015.

Responding to OZOPOLF members who paid a visit to the group, the spokesman and former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Dr Douglas Acholonu told the group that though their request is genuine that he will go back to consult with his people while expecting OZOPOLF to visit again.

Earlier, Prince Charls Amadi had solicited their support in the realization of a Governor from Owerri Zone in 2015. He took the group to memory lane on the sharing of political offices in the state since 1999 and appealed for their support.
