Unbelievable: Man Goes Nude In Owerri To Avoid Arrest At Control Post

The popular Control Post roundabout linking the Onitsha/Port Harcourt Road in the capital of Imo State stood still yesterday as an unnamed man striped himself naked in the bid to avoid been arrested by the Nigeria Police and the Men of Imo Civil Guards .
The man whose identity was not revealed to our correspondent, according to witnesses who saw the event, revealed that the unnamed man has been in the habit of impersonating to be a staff of the Imo Civil Guards thereby robbing people of their belongings and extorting money from motorists for breaking traffic rules.
Luck, however ran against him when some men of the Imo Civil Guard on duty saw him double-cross a motorist with a Golf Volkswagen Car, Blue and White in colour with plate number Lagos FK 650 AE and wanting to extort money from the said motorist. The men of the Imo Civil Guard on duty were unable to identify him as one of their staff quickly called the attention of the mobile police men who were standing nearby to help arrest him.
The mobile Police men quickly responded but in the bid to avoid being arrested the impersonator stripped himself stake naked to the surprise of passersby. It took the combined effort of men of the Nigeria Police and that of the Imo civil Guard to drag the impersonator into the Hilux Van of the Men of the Imo Civil Guards before he was taken to their office. Trumpeta could not ascertain the next line of action as no policemen was willing to speak on the matter.
