It was a sad day in Anara, Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State as the sporadic attacks on helpless residents of the state have continued.
After last week’s attacks on residents of Orie Agu of Ehime Mbano Umulogho in Obowo and Isinweke Ihitte Uboma all in Okigwe Senatorial District of the State.
Trumpeta learnt that dare devil gunmen on Tuesday night opened fire at Anara Market in Isiala Mbano and killed four persons.
According to eye witnesses account, three persons died at the spot while the last died at the hospital.
It was learnt that the unknown gunmen who arrived in a white coloured Sienna vehicle opened fire where a woman sells food.
Though, it was not revealed why the attack but a source disclosed that the shooters didn’t alight from their vehicles as they moved while shooting.
Police has confirmed the development with the Police Public Relations Officer, Mickael Abattain SP, claiming the Commissioner of Police has ordered investigation into the matter.
Before the close of last week, suspected unknown gunmen were on shooting spree in several parts of the state which claimed lives and property.
