…As Uzodimma Opens up on Matter
People of Imo State are eagerly waiting for the state governor to name those allegedly involved in the killing of a Transition Committee chairman in Imo State.
I’m reaction to a recent senseless killing in Ideato part of the state, an embittered Uzodimma gave hint of the arrest of the mastermind of Chris Ohizu, slain chairman of Ideato North LGA of the state killed in 2023.
His abductors had not only tortured him but made him to say his last prayers before he head neck was slashed. The gory event was also recorded and displayed in the social media.
According to a statement credited to the Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the governor, Oguwuike Nwachukwu in a statement, the governor while condemning the recent killings in parts of Ideato North quoted Uzodimma to have said that the suspect has confessed to have killed the former council boss.
As expected, residents of the state had expected Uzodimma to have named the suspect and how he was apprehend.
Days after the revelation, Imolites are yet to be briefed on it and police command in the state are yet to parade the nabbed suspect.
Also, the police command is yet to give further clarifications on the matter as means to confirm the statement credited to the governor’s spokesman.
