APC SAYS, COURT AFFIRMS SENATOR PATRICK NDUBUEZE AS APC SENATORIAL CANDIDATE FOR IMO NORTH
Advises Senator Ararume, Others, to Return Home and join the Party’s Campaign for all Candidates
The All Progressives Congress in Imo State is delighted with reports that the Federal High Court has dismissed attempts by Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Ararume to upturn the overwhelming wishes of Imo North APC members who voted massively for the incumbent Senator, Distinguished Senator Patrick Ndubueze as our Party’s standard bearer in the Senatorial Primary Election conducted in the State on the 18th of May, 2026.
In a statement available to Trumpeta, the APC spokesman in Imo State, Jones Onwuasoanya says “A federal high court in the nation’s capital, Abuja had in a ruling yesterday, 26th August, 2026 affirmed the victory of Senator Ndubueze, his qualification and his credibility to be on the ballot on behalf of the All Progressives Congress in the January, 2027 general elections. This development is yet another judicial affirmation and legitimacy to the candidacy of the Engineer Senator who was voted for overwhelmingly by members of the Party across the wards and LGAs of the District in a clear attestation of his satisfactory performance and good representation over the past three years.
“In line with this development, the Party urges the Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Ararume to forfeit his right to appeal this judgement and rather return home to join other Party leaders and members to campaign for the victory of all our standard bearers in the coming elections. We also implore all Party members who participated unsuccessfully in the last primaries, to withdraw their litigation against the Party – where there is any – return home and join the Party in its campaigns for the reelection of President Bola Tinubu, GCFR and other candidates of the Party across the State. The Party reiterates its commitment to ensuring that everyone is rewarded appropriately the elections.
“The Party further commends the over 97% of unsuccessful aspirants in the last primaries who abide by the Party’s rules by taking the outcome of the primary election in their strides and refusing the option of litigation against the Party. We assure all of them that their loyalty and discipline are appreciated and shall be rewarded in due time”
