Secondary Education Management Board, Owerri Zone 1 has concluded arrangements for a two day induction programme for the newly employed Teachers in the state holding on the 29th-30 July 2013 at Government College, Owerri.
Director of Schools for Owerri Zone Mrs Sneh Lata Onyearugbulem who disclosed this to Trumpeta said that the aim of the exercise is to fill identified gaps in knowledge, teaching skills, attitude and methodology needed to achieve the desired quality and standards in classroom teaching.
The Director of schools explained that the programme is also expected to make the participants Smart Teachers as their total classroom activities is expected to be specific measurable, attainable, realistic as well as timely.
Accordingly a one day orientation course has been organized for newly appointed school principals within the Education Management Board Office Owerri.
Mrs Onyearugbulem disclosed that the two programmes which kicks-off by 9. am each of the days is compulsory for all those concerned.
