Professor Stella Okunna, the first female Mass Communication Professor in the country, is to deliver 2017 Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Imo State Council press week lecture with the theme” Clamour for Restructuring Nigeria: Major Concerns and the media”, Trumpeta has gathered.

The erudite scholar would be sharing the lecture podium that Monday, 27 November, 2017 with Mr Carl Azudibia, another acclaimed scholar and international businessman, who will be presenting the second lecture of the day.

Mr Everest Ezihe, who is serving as the chairman of committee organizing the 2017 press week unveiled this year’s lecturers recently at the monthly congress of the union held inside its secretariat in Owerri, even as he stated further that proceedings of the day would be chaired by Engr Chidi Ibe, former commissioner for information in Imo State.

The press week committee chair informed the union that the lecturers were very painstakingly and meticulously chosen based on their rich resume, experience and intellectual prowess, pointing out that his committee was certain union members would go home more fulfilled from the lectures.

Adding his voice, state chairman of the NUJ, Sir Innocent Igwe assured that the press week as well as the lectures would be like no other in the annals of the state council and called on members to participate fully to make it a memorable and rewarding outing.
