Bureau for lands honors Chief of Staff, holds end of year party .As Uche Nwosu showers gifts, cash

The Imo State Ministry, Bureau for Lands, Survey,Housing and Urban Planning has celebrated the year 2017 achievements with the end of the year/send-forth party in honor of the former Commissioner of the Ministry, Chief Uche Nwosu who was commended for his stewardship, hard work and diligence.

Speaking at the event held last Wednesday at the Trade and Investment Centre (Ahiajioku), chairman of the organizing committee of the event, Mr. Onyema Osundu Rex noted that the award of “Ezi-Nna Bureau for Land” bestowed on Chief Uche Nwosu was based on his recognition and broad contribution to the Ministry during his time as commissioner.

Mr. Onyema Osundu recalled that Uche Nwosu’s reign as commissioner was unforgettable because he touched lives through liberalization and recognition of hard-working staff in the Ministry.

He however maintained that since the coming of the Deputy Chief of Staff Operations and supervising Commissioner for Lands Survey, Housing and Urban Planning, functions and actions of the Bureau has been on a very fast lane, “we are achieving and breaking new grounds” he concluded.

In his acceptance speech, Uche Nwosu who recalled his experiences with staff of the bureau pointed out that his achievements wouldn’t have been possible without their support and effort as he described them as the best civil servants in Nigeria.

Hon Uche Nwosu who encouraged their continued effort towards uplifting the ministry promised to reward the best staff with a car and the sum of two hundred thousand naira (N200,000) with the second and third runner-up going home with the sum of hundred thousand naira (N100,000) and fifty thousand naira (N 50,000) respectively. He earlier promised to donate 100 bags of rice and N1million naira to the staff as he prayed for the Ministry grows from strength to strength.

In his remark, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations and Supervising Commissioner For Lands, Survey, Housing and Urban Planning, Hon. Chief Kingsley Uju thanked the Hon. Uche Nwosu for his benevolence and show of love to staff of the ministry. He advised them to do their best wherever they find themselves as he promised to continue in the pace and legacy which his predecessor left to ensure that the ministry is taken to a higher level.
