As a fallout from the continued non-payment of salaries to Judges in Imo State and the threat to go Naked issued recently by the erstwhile executive governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, I make bold to say that even before the actualization of this threat, I will thread on the path of this threat by going naked, first.
It has been my considered opinion that the continued nonpayment of judicial officers their statutory entitlements, portend grave consequences and danger beyond anyone’s imagination especially on the society. I have also considered the utterances of certain government image managers as completely ill-motivated inconsiderate and unrepentant in this most catastrophic posturing of government.
“Consequently, since a critical situation will require critical and drastic measures, hence informs the threat to go naked first before anyone else in Imo state. This act of protestation is necessary to send a strong message and signal to the youths whom I lead as their undisputed Mayor, that the Imo society as we know it is about to be pushed off the so-called Rochas Okorocha led administration”.
It will also serve as a clarion call to the Imo elders to rise to the occasion and not be indifferent to an issue that is critical to our collective survival as a people. After all, it is expected that an elder cannot be at home and the nanny goat dies in its tatters. I have come to this conclusion not just because of the refusal to pay the salaries and entitlements of judges by the Imo State Government but because I have discovered that the present Government in Imo State is determined to destroy whatever is left of our civilization, as a people.

In the same vein, I advise our dear Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha to kindly consider the immediate payment of all outstanding arrears of monthly pensions to pensioners. These pensioners did not commit any crime by obtaining a judgment that nullified the deduction of 60% of their monthly pension from a court of competent jurisdiction.

In the interest of peace, harmony, Governor Okorocha should save our pensioners most of who are highly incapacitated by doing the needful.
