Last weekend’s conduct of Ward Congresses in Imo State has again left a sour taste in the minds of followers of the governor in his  Rescue Mission government as they are now reported to be confused.

Following the outcome of the primaries which didn’t go down well with the governor and his followers, Members of the camp known as Rescue Missionaries has been thrown into disorder.

The confusion, according to Trumpeta may not be unconnected to the manner the group lost out in the conduct of the Congress held last weekend. At the end of the exercise, reports reaching the newspaper has it that governor Okorocha and his followers have turned the new “wailers” in town as they have been complaining by lamenting that the exorcise failed to hold.

The resultant effect is a new dawn in Rescue Mission where those who were part of the “Agburu” as the group is fondly called are finding their ways out to the groups.

Before now, the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, Former Secretary to the State government, Chief Jude Ejiogu, former commissioners who served Okorocha, Ichie Best Mbanaso and Dr TOE Ekechi had called it quits with the governor and joined opposing camps against his desire to make the son in-law the successor come 2019.

With the latest outcome of the Ward Congresses, more of his die hard followers are on the way out from the Rescue Mission group. Leading the pack is the state APC Chairman, Chief Hilary Eke. Eke who has been Okorocha’s ally and was among those present during last week’s meeting of  Rescue Missionaries at the IICC alongside some of the LGA party Chairmen have dumped the governor.

Trumpeta also discovered that some office seekers, like Chief Felix Idiga ( Jafac) running for the position of Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency who had been part of the Rescue Mission has made a U-turn and joined forces with the opposing APC Stakeholders. He was spotted accompanying other APC chieftains to work against the interest of the Governor.

Eke, who told the press the conduct of the primaries was in order was also spotted with few APC stalwarts interested in elective positions.

It was in the process that the hammer fell on one the TC chairmen reported to be showing sympathy to APC Stakeholders than his Rescue Mission group prompting the Okorocha to use the office of the Principal Secretary to the Governor to remove him immediately.

Further information from the APC Stakeholders camp has it that many of those loyal to the governor and part of his Agburu are making inroads into the other camps as it appears that Okorocha has lot it.
