The member of the House of representatives Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency, Hon Bethel Amadi, has come under severe attack from his constituent over non commitment to the plight of his people.

Speaking under the aegis of Concerned Citizens of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru for Good Governance, Barr Linus Nwachukwu lamented that Hon Amadi is yet to leave a mark on his constituency after spending close to eight years on the saddle as lawmaker representing Mbaitoli and Ikeduru, which he described as one of the largest in terms of population, inNigeria.

Bar Nwachukwu said that when Amadi was elected into the African Parliament, the people of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal constituency had hoped it would improve their lot, instead Amadi was busy flying all overAfricawhile his constituent suffers.

He said Akabo, one of the communities being represented by Amadi has become notorious because of bad roads, pointing out that Ikeduru has attracted bad name because of that particular spot but their representative in the National Assembly is yet to draw the attention of the Federal Government to that road.

Adding his voice, Chief Anselem Onyema pointed out that it has gotten to a point where well – meaning people in the constituency should rise and talk, adding that while other constituencies in the state strive to see their representatives for interaction, it is very hard to see Amadi, much less interacting with him.

“Since he became a lawmaker, how many times has he called constituency meeting? How many times has he interacted with his people to have first hand information of their plights?” Onyema asked.

He said it was very disappointing that Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru has a personality like Hon Amadi in the National Assembly yet the onlyFederal Roadthat passed the area is a death trap.

When contacted by Imo Trumpeta, a source close to Hon Amadi said he traveled out of the country, but insisted that the lawmaker loves his people and has been working for them, adding that he is looking into the Akabo road, pointing out that the road is in the current budget, and would be fixed after the rains.
