It was so for many years before it was renamed “HEART LAND”
Chief  Dr.  Ifeanyi Chris Anele the CEO of Palm Beam Petroleum Ltd. has called on Imo indigenes to accept the Supreme Court judgment, embrace HOPE and enjoy the new breeze of prosperity about to blow in Imo state as designed by God.
In his words “Imo State indigenes have been going through a lot sufferings due to bad governance, as a result of selfish people at the helm of affairs in government. The land of Imo has been very thirsty and hungry for prosperity, as people have been suffering in the midst of plenty.
He advised the youths to be law abiding and say no to political thuggery and vices.
While encouraging all the traders who were forcefully displaced from their businesses by the previous administration to pray for the new governor and his administration for success.
The Industrialist and political Apex leader made these comments during a birthday celebration, of his bosom friend, Chief Charles Orie (Aku Atuegw) and the Traditional Prime Minister of Ohaji, Imo State. He also reminded Imo people to remember that the same date Owerri fell 50 years ago was the same date HOPE was sworn in as a governor in Owerri. “God knows it all” he concluded.
