A middle aged man names (withheld) from Onitsha-Ezinihitte in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area last two weeks terminated his life and that of her fiancée because they can’t get married.
“Imo Trumpeta” gathered that the two couples who had been in a long term relationship even went ahead to take an oath, promising each other to get married when the right comes to solemnize the love they had for each other.
Unfortunately for the two love birds, when what would have been the most memorable time of their lives came, their parents discovered that both of them were related and can not marry each other as the law of their land in Onitsha-Ezinihitte forbids it since the time of their forefathers.
A villager who didn’t want his name disclosed explained that the two young lovers did have a very promising relationship going for both of them and that they had gone ahead to even inform their close friends of their future plans before the sad news was broken to them by the parents.
According to our source, the young man who apparently could not swallow the bitter pills invited the girl over to a near by bush to brake the oath which they had to bind their love.
The girl who un-suspectingly joined her fiancée collected the love breaking passion as she drank a Lacasara drink which the young man brought for them to break the oath, but fell down after wards complaining of stomach arch and died.
Discovering that the wife he couldn’t have had died, he decided to set himself ablaze as he burned to death beside the fiancée.
Reports has it that since the past two weeks the ugly incident occurred, no villager has agreed to dispose off their decaying corpses which has now become a hearlth hazard to the people living close to were the incident happened.
