Platform to Fight Against Marginalization

The inauguration ceremony of the Imo State Executives of the National Officers of NCNC (Onyeaghala Nwanneya Igwebuike) has taken place in Owerri.

 

In his welcome address on the occasion the State Chairman NCNC, Prince Ben Akuwuigwe revealed that NCNC as an organization is a forum for all Igbos to unite for peace, prosperity, development, industrial advancement and create food security as well as agricultural self sufficiency.

 

Prince Akuwuigwe noted that it was an event organized by national officers to provide an opportunity for Igbos to re-awaken the true Igbo nature and characteristics in them and take them back to their roots.

 

He maintained that the inauguration would provide the association the basis to transverse all nooks and crannies of Imo State to enlighten the people of the biggest and strongest Igbo organization to rekindle Igbo traditional values and complement government’s efforts in the empowerment of the masses through poverty alleviation.

 

Prince Akuwuigwe appealed to Igbos to be patriotic, original, tough and fearless in the implementation of the association’s programmes, calling for joint efforts to nurture the association to maturity.

 

In his remarks, the National Deputy President, NCNC, Chief John Onyebuchi pointed out that the organization was established to fight against marginalization of Igbo tribe and fight for their rights.

 

Chief Onyebuchi stated that the association is a political organization and not a political party, stressing that it is not against the government. He added that the summit aims at finding the means to properly guide them to create jobs for themselves as government cannot give all the jobs.

 

The Man of God revealed that they gather school leavers and give them potentials of the labour market, teach students to make excellent results in exams, enlighten them on opportunities in agro business, micro-finance and how to access loans, urging them to also imbibe spiritual empowerment by maintaining cordial relationship with God.

 

Pastor Okoro appealed to patriotic citizens of the state to rise up to the responsibility of taking care of the youths as leaders of tomorrow.

 

In his address, the General Superintendent DCLM, Pst. Dr. W.F. Kumuyi noted that the Association’s sense of value has injected into many promising youths, the wrong approaches to reaching their goals in life, pointing out that he has resolved to graciously inspire every young person inNigeriato aspire for greatness.

 

Pastor Kumuyi advised the youths to have a passionate desire, followed by diligence, discipline and powered by determination to attain a domineering success.

 

In his remarks, the Director, National Orientation Agency, Imo State encouraged the youths to uphold the fight against corruption in the country with virtues of dedication and selflessness adding that more young people are likely to be influenced positively if their fellow youths act as ambassadors of good governance.
