Chairman of the Imo state Football Association, Mazi Amanze Ugbechulam has commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu for taking over the treatment of former Super Eagles player, Henry Nwosu (MON).
The FA boss expressed gratitude to the Governor and Lagos state government for their kindness towards the well-being of Nwosu, who is currently battling heart related issues.
Uchegbulam said;
“Let me on behalf of the Imo Football Association express our gratitude to Governor Sanwo-olu for coming through for Henry Nwosu, we are grateful that he is receiving topnotch medical attention from experts, we pray God to grant him speedy recovery and that God’s blessing rest upon the governor.
“The Governor has demonstrated that human kindness knows no language or ethnic bias, it is just lending a helping hand and we’re grateful for this kind gesture.
The Imo FA boss thanked Delta and Imo State governments, the Nigerian Football Federation, and Nigerians for their varying supports to Nwosu so far.
It will be recalled that news broke out about the ailing former player even as the Imo FA called on well meaning Nigerians to help save Nwosu.
