One time Governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) inImoState, Chief Jerry Chukwueke has identified the prevalence of bad governance to lack of managerial skill.

Chief Chukwueke who spoke at a dinner with the Leadership of Owerri Zone Leadership Forum (OZOPOLF) at his country home Awaka, near Owerri, said thatImoStatehas been very unfortunate to find itself in a situation where those who has been trusted with its affairs are people not trusted.

He explained that the art of governance stem from good leadership and managerial capabilities which is translated into real practical terms with the right personnel.

Chief Chukwueke made it clear that forImoStateto produce the right leadership it requires, the masses should shun greed and money politics as such had debased the polity in the state.

According to him, Imo state parade a good number of successful entrepreneurs who are ever ready to come to the rescue of the state but regretted that most of them have rebuffed the quest because of hatred, back biting and greed among the people.

He therefore charged the leadership of OZOPOLF to work harder in uniting the people of Owerri Zone towards the 2015 Governorship race in Imo state.

Earlier, the Secretary and Leader of the group Barrister Kingsley Ononuju and Prince Charles Amadi had told Chief Chukwueke that OZOPOLF is unshaken in its quest for an Imo Governor of Owerri Zone extraction in 2015.

Prince Amadi told him that Majority of Orlu and Okigwe sons and daughters are in alignment with OZOPOLF vision and mission as the only way to guarantee equity and fairness in the state.

He told Chukwueke that OZOPOLF has mobilized the grassroots so well that the people are now ready to translate their support in practical terms.

According to Prince Amadi, “OZOPOLF is now calling on our sons and daughters from Owerri Zone irrespective of their party affiliations who are interested in the Governorship race to come out and contest with OZOPOLF supports”.
