Obuh names 21 for Flying Eagles AYC Defence

 

Nigerian Flying Eagles Coach, John Obuh has named a final 21 man squad for the defence of the African Youth Championship in Algeria from March 16.

 

The Abriba born tactician, who also led the team to triumph in South Africa two years ago, picked three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and five strikers as the team intensified their preparations in Tunis.

 

Top of the list is skipper Abduljaleel Ajagun, who was part of the squad that lifted the trophy in South Africa on may, 1 2011. There are also FIFA U-17 world cup silver medalists Mohammed Aliyu Goyi, Aigbe Oliha, Edafe Egbedi and Kayode Olanrewaju.

 

The Flying Eagles will play all their group phase games in Oran, with their first match against Mali’s junior Eagles coming up on March 17 and the clash with Gabon on March 20.

 

Three days later, they trade tackles with the Democratic Republic of Congo, who eliminated Cameroon’s Lion Ceux to reach their first AYC finals. It would be recalled that the flying Eagles have not been having it rosy with their last batch of friendlies in Tunis Losing 0 – 2 to Junior Catage Eagles before being caged by the Tunisian champions Esperance few days later.

Nigerian Police Games gradually drawing to Close.

 

The 10th edition of the Nigerian Police games will come to a close this weekend in Garden City Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

IMSU Students Lament on high price of food.

Some Students of Imo State University, Owerri, have lamented on high cost of food and other things as typing of projects, assignments, seminar papers and time papers.

 

Anonymous students told Imo Trumpeta in the University that people who run them have been pursued out of the campus. So this is why the cost of food and other things are high on the campus, unlike before.

 

They therefore called on the University authority to do something urgently as to relieve them of their financial burden caused by their action.
