WHY I AM CONTESTING — COMRADE AHIZI MARTINS UDOCHUKWU

The decision by Comrade Ahizi Martins Udochukwu to contest for the Imo State House of Assembly to represent the good people of Ngor Okpala is born out of deep concern over the worsening condition of the constituency and the prolonged failure of leadership at both the state and federal levels.

Comrade Ahizi Martins Udochukwu, the Ntu born Business Travel Consultant, entrepreneur, and a dual citizen of Nigeria and Poland, said his exposure to functional systems, community development, and effective leadership abroad has strengthened his determination to bring purposeful representation and practical development to Ngor Okpala.

For years, the people of Ngor Okpala have continued to suffer from deplorable roads, poor infrastructure, youth unemployment, insecurity, neglect of rural communities, inadequate healthcare, and increasing economic hardship without meaningful representation or visible intervention from elected officials.

According to him, “Our people deserve leaders who will speak boldly for them, attract development, empower the youths, and defend the interests of the common man. Unfortunately, what we have witnessed over the years is leadership without impact.”

He further stated that the current member representing Ngor Okpala in the Imo State House of Assembly has remained largely inactive and disconnected from the struggles of the people, while the member representing the constituency at the Federal House of Representatives has equally failed to deliver the quality representation and development expected by the electorate.

“Ngor Okpala cannot continue to be represented by bench warmers while our communities remain abandoned,” he declared.

Comrade Ahizi Martins Udochukwu believes the time has come for proactive, people-oriented, and accountable leadership that will prioritize road rehabilitation, youth empowerment, quality education, agriculture, healthcare, skills acquisition, economic opportunities, and infrastructural development across all communities in Ngor Okpala.

Speaking further, he emphasized that his ambition is not driven by personal gain or political fame, but by a genuine passion to restore hope, create opportunities for young people, and give Ngor Okpala a stronger and more respected voice in government.

“This movement is about the people. Together, we can rebuild Ngor Okpala, restore dignity to our communities, and secure a better future for the next generation,” he concluded.
