Hausa Community Backs Okigwe SOLAD, As Onwumere Warns Corrupt Politicians

The Hausa Community in Okigwe Local Government has expressed their gratitude to the Sole Administrator, Hon Frank Onwumere for his transformational giant strides and providing a peaceful environment for them to cohabit with people from other tribes in the area.

Speaking during their solidarity visit to the Solad in his office, Acting Chairman of the group, Aihaji Biu gave him thumbs up for prioritizing environmental sanitation and trade promotion through prompt evacuation of refuse and construction of lock-up shops in Okigwe in less than one month of his appointment.

Alhaji Biu who assured him of their unwavering support described his appointment by Governor Okorocha as a blessing to Okigwe residents, adding that they will partner with him in promoting commerce.

Furthermore, the Hausa leader extolled their host traditional ruler and Chairman, Okigwe Local Government Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze Chukwunyere Ugochukwu of Ubahu Okigwe for integrating Hausa’s into the Community Government Council, CGC and assured that they will help to strengthen the ideal for optimum results to be achieved.

Responding, Hon Onwumere who frowned at the ungodly activities of the Boko Haram sect, stressed the need for Nigerians to regard the sanctity of human lives and live in peace irrespective of tribe and religion. He thanked them for their support and urged them to enlighten their misguided and illiterate wards and prevail upon them to desist from the barbaric act.

In a related development, Hon (Pastor) Frank Onwumere has reiterated his resolve to champion the crusade against the election of corrupt politicians into the leadership seat of Okigwe local Government.

Hon Onwumere made the disclosure while addressing All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, members who defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC in compliance with the ongoing political merger in the country at the Okigwe Police Field recently.

Recounting their peoples loses and setback caused by corrupt leaders, the council boss however expressed his solace in the development-driven initiatives of Governor Okorocha in Okigwe and urged the party faithful, especially office holders, to emulate him in sacrifice and service to society and mankind.

He enumerated his achievements so far to include, construction of lock-up shops, toilets, sinking of boreholes, construction of modern shops for beverage/meat vendor’s, clearing of drainages/shanties at Eke Okigwe and Abakpa markets among others.

He however stressed on the governor’s zero tolerance for corruption and urged the electorates to use their votes wisely by rejecting corrupt and selfish leaders
