It was an expression of joy and merry as families and friends gathered at the reception of a thanks giving service held in honor of Miss Amaechi Tochi Linda at her family residence in Egbu, on the completion of her one year compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) programme.

In a brief interview, the young graduate of Management from the Imo State University of, (IMSU) narrated her adventure as a challenging one as she escaped from the heart of the Boko Haram insurgence unhurt, she attributed it to Gods intervention and favor for her life during the journey through, as she finally concluded her service to her father’s land at a school in Port Harcourt Rivers state.

Relating her experience during her service year which she said has widened her horoscope, she advised the Federal Government to continually fight the boko haram insurgence so as to have more corps members who will be willing to serve at those areas.

Earlier, during the first Sunday mass, the resident Priest Rev. Fr. George Nwachukwu in his sermon stressed the need for our today youths to be obedient, adding that obedience to parents and guidance is the only way they can live an un-regrettable life.

In separate remarks, the mother of the celebrant, Mrs. Amaechi, Theresa, Rev. Sister Agnes (Mother) friends and well wishers expressed their delight in seeing Miss Amaechi Linda conclud her NYSC programme with a thanks giving offering to God, and prayed that she grows from strength to strength.

High point of the event was the presentation of a complete set of gas cooker to her mother Mrs. Theresa Amaechi in appreciation to her sacrifice to see her through in life.
