Heartland Football Club of Owerri and members of Imo State Referees Council were on Wednesday morning thrown into mourning following the shocking news of the death of Dr Amos Agwamba.
According to reports gathered by Trumpeta Sports Desk, the former Imo Referees Council Chairman who currently was the Sports Psychologist Officer of Heartland FC reportedly kicked the bucket in the early hours of Wednesday July 6, 2022.
Although his family are yet to make any official statement of his demise as at the time of filing this report, this paper however learnt he may have died of a cardiac -arrest related issue.
Until his death, Dr Agwamba who was also a serving NPFL Match Commissioner contributed immensely towards grassroots sports development in the state especially during his days at the Federal Polytechnic Nekede where he served as Director of Sports.
