Chief Joseph Ikechukwu Ukaegbu, aka Ikenga, has been suspended from the Labour Party, LP.
The former gubernatorial aspirant was suspended by the Umudim Ward for “misconduct, anti-party, undignified and indecorous activities” and failing to participate in ward activities for more than two years.
The ward, which has forwarded its decision to the party’s SEC and NEC, also announced that a five-member disciplinary committee had been set up to decide Ukaegbu’s fate.
The committee, which has two months to submit its findings, has Dr. Christian Nwachukwu and Hon. Chijioke Isdore as secretary.
The statement was signed by the ward chairman, Ikechukwu Uba; Martin Anyanwu, Vice chairman; Chief Emmanuel Nwaneri, Secretary and Mrs Eunice Ojor, assistant secretary.
