The people of Okigwe state constituency in Imo State have described their representative in the Imo House of Assembly, Hon Acho Ihim as a total failure who has disgraced the position he is occupying by not living up to a scratch.
Speaking under the aegis of Okigwe Concerned Progressive Stakeholders OCPS, the body made up of top Government Appointees in the present administration in the state disclosed that Acho Ihim after spending over three years in the Imo legislature has not called one constituency briefing to at least inform the voters who sent him to represent them what he has achieved in office these past years.
OCPS said it was not surprised that Acho Ihim has not called any meeting, because even if he does, he has nothing to point at for the electorate as his achievements because he is a failure and has nothing to show for his stay in the House of Assembly except personal gains.
OCPS which has people like Hon Sunny Chiadi, Hon Emeka Okoronkwo, Hon Iruno Chukwuonye, Hon Charles Ejiogu, Hon Uche Eze, Hon Joy Umealor and others as members maintained that Okigwe LGA has never had it so bad in representation in the House of Assembly like the Acho Ihim era, pointing out that all the Okigwe urban roads under the supervision of Ihim are all abandoned, adding that “other roads captured by the Local Government under direct supervision of Hon Acho Ihim have not been done”.
OCPS said Acho’s docility in office and abandonment of projects under his supervision may have angered the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha from visiting Okigwe frequently as he used to do before, while assessing the roads in Imo LGAs.
“This explains why His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha the governor, was technically discouraged and stopped till date from visiting Okigwe LGA during his road assessment tours of Local Government Areas in Imo state” OCPS disclosed.
The body which was short of calling for Acho Ihim’s recall from the House of Assembly for non performance maintained that Okigwe has a way of sharing its political positions to create peace and tranquility, and will continue with the laudable development for the progress of Okigwe and its people.
