Woman Delivers a Goat at Egbu – Owerri.

 

It began as heart warming news for the spouses when it became clear that the wife was nursing a six months pregnancy following the slightly protruded belly and the movement inside it.

But the truth burst when the lady, accompanied a friend to a certain ministry located in Egbu, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo state.  On entering the church, the pastor divined that there was a lady in the congregation who believed that she had been pregnant for six months when in fact, she was carrying a goat not a human being.

The entire episode smacks of a fairly tale when the pastor declared that the goat will be delivered in the church that day.  After intensive prayers, a cloth was spread in front of the altar where she sprawled out flat on the cloth barricaded by mothers so that the worshippers won’t watch the unfolding miraculous (goat) delivery.  The lady was covered with cloth preparatory to the delivery.

After a while, it happened and a goat was delivered to the amazement of the worshippers.

The pastor had earlier disclosed that the mother of the woman was behind the prodigious event by which a goat was planted in the daughter’s womb.  According to him, this happened when the couples visited her maternal home to solicit the mother’s forgiveness after disagreement with the daughter.  Unknown to them, the meal served them by the mother was the medium for the strange goat in the daughter’s womb.

The pastor further explained that the strange delivery took place in the public to rule out fraud or deception.
