A prominent Imo citizen Prince Emeka Obiefula has dragged Governor Rochas Okorocha to an Nkwerre High Court challenging the legality of the fourth tier government.
Also joined in the suit on No. HON/26/2011 are the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy Affairs and the chairman of Nkwerre Local Government Area.
Other reliefs sought in the suit includes; A declaration that the 1st defendant in this pending suit is not qualified by the constitution of Umuezeanoruo Eziama, the custom and practice of Umuezeanoruo Eziama and the Imo state law on Traditional Rulers and Autonomous Communities law No. 3 1999 to be the Eze – elect of Umuezeanoruo Eziama.
A declaration of the court that he is by virtue of Umuezeanoruo constitution, Customary practice and the traditional Rulers and Autonomous Community ie law No 3 1999 as the Eze of the Umuezeanoruo Eziama Autonomous Community.
