Language and culture defines a person or group of people and the beauty of tradition is the celebration of heritage with pride and splendor, giving and sharing with loved ones, friends and well wishers.

This is the description of what occurred last Monday, 13th August, 2018, at the country home of Chief Ibeawuchi Imo Remy, in the ancient Kingdom of Obohia in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, Imo State.

The annual event according to many has always been with light rain showers and this year’s event was no exception as guests defied the rain to celebrate with Chief Imo.

There was a lot to eat and drink as Chief Imo Remy exhibited evergreen dance step to the admiration of all who graced the event.

The CEO of Jamino Hotels, High Chief Jamike Njoku told Trumpeta extravaganza that Eyiri Eyi Obohia unites sons and daughters of the community annually. He described Chief Imo as a brother, friend and colleague and advised indigenes of the community to take advantage of their rich heritage.

Chief Imo Remy told Trumpeta extravaganza that the essence of the festival which originated from their forefathers and marked few days to the Iriji Mbaise is designed to bring the people together for their common good and a better society which he had always hosted in his country home since 2004 till date.

Chief Imo further hinted that the significance of Eyiri Eyi Obohia symbolizes unity among families in Obohia Community. “I Am proud to be an Obohia son, I love Obohia ancient Kingdom” he confessed.

Dignitaries that graced the event were endless, among who were; members of Udo N’ Ihunanya Mbaise, High Chief Chimezie Njoku, Hon Nnanna Igbokwe and host of other personalities.
