Followers of the governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha in his Rescue Mission political family that is pro Action Alliance, AA, are adopting a chameleon like approach about their support for who becomes the governor of Imo State in 2019.

Having been in a dilemma over the APC candidate and his AA counterpart, Senator Hope Uzodinma and Chief Uche Nwosu respectively, they are at crossroads as the election approaches.

Trumpeta learnt that majority of the followers of Okorocha who were APC members before shifting alliance to AA when Nwosu and other allies of Okorocha picked the party’s tickets now show presence in Nwosu’s campaign programs during the day and turn to Uzodinma later in the evening.

Governor Okrocha had perfected arrangements to have Nwosu fly APC governorship ticket which was later picked by Uzodinma. Despite holding the Senate ticket of APC for Orlu Senatorial District, Okorocha is said to be drawing support for his followers in AA, especially Nwosu.

The newspaper learnt that other appointees of the government and party officials of APC that were Okorocha’s product started becoming AA compliant. Apart from Nwosu who is the governorship flagbearer; National Assembly and State Legislature aspirants of AA are made up of Pro Okorocha candidates.

But latest information has it that while some of the government appointees show face and align themselves to Nwosu’s ambition in AA, they become over night turn coats later and show solidarity visits to Uzodinma after hours.

Trumpeta exclusively learnt that the Oxygen hotel, Owerri abode of Sen. Uzodinma whenever he is in Owerri has become a beehive of activities with known faces of Okorocha’s lieutenants coming in at late hours of the day to show concern for the victory of the APC candidate.

It was further gathered that the “Uche Nwosu Day and Uzodinma at Night” system is eating deep into the camp of the governor forcing some to openly denounce the Agburu political family.
